For Jackson: A Time Capsule from His Two Grandmothers

Two pioneering women decide to record their stories for their grandson Jackson. Rosemary Brown left Jamaica for Canada, where she became the first Black woman elected to public office in the country. Ruth Horricks-Sujir, born in the Prairies, moved to India in the 1950s and married, returning to Canada a widow and working mother. Their very different histories come alive in a personal and universal way.
